Tammy Sue (Rogers) Crider

Tammy Sue Crider, born on September 16, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at Lee’s Summit Place in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 8 days.

She was the daughter of Charles McKinley and Lura Murl (Gregory) Rogers and spent her childhood in Peculiar, Missouri, graduating from Raymore-Peculiar High School in 1976. After high school, she began her career as a hairstylist.

On November 11, 1978, Tammy married the love of her life, Terry Lee Crider, at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. They settled in Pleasant Hill, where they built a home filled with love and laughter.

Tammy dedicated her early years to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom. Later, she began working as a lab technician at General Electric, where she remained until her retirement in 2016.

She had a passion for antiques and decorating, transforming her home with pieces she lovingly collected. Her beautifully styled front porch was a local favorite, often admired by passersby for its charming seasonal and holiday themes. Tammy also enjoyed crafting, working in her yard, and “glamping.”

Above all, Tammy cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing and supportive mother and grandmother, a loving sister, and a treasured friend to many.

Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lee Crider; her parents, Charles and Lura Rogers; and two brothers, Joe Rogers and Rusty Rogers.

She is survived by her son, Jacob Crider of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; her daughter, Jessica Ireland and husband Bransen of Nashville, Tennessee; her brothers, Charles Rogers of Peculiar, Missouri, Greg Rogers and wife Lynn of Adrian, Missouri, and Steve Rogers and wife Pattie of Belton, Missouri; her sister, Debbie Drake and Jim Drake (deceased) of Overland Park, Kansas; and her beloved grandchildren, Brayden Ireland and Cash Ireland. She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.

Cremation was accorded.

The family honored Tammy’s life with a private Celebration of Life.
