RONALD DEAN COTTON

 

Ronald Dean Cotton, age 79, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on April 1, 2024.

 

Ron was born in Pleasant Hill, Missouri on April 11, 1944 to John Murrell and Lucille E. (Jesse) Cotton. He was raised in Pleasant Hill, and remained there throughout his school years. Ron worked for many years in construction, becoming disabled after back injuries. He lived in several states and was married a few times over the years, but was unsettled until later in life. Ron was united in marriage to Doris Elaine (Shaw) Cotton in Cave Creek, Arizona on December 27, 1994. Ron was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, classic country music, and the great outdoors.  

 

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elaine; brothers, Jack and LeRoy Cotton; a son, Michael Cotton; a daughter, Melissa Spillman; a daughter, Shauna Gonzalez, and a granddaughter, Callista Cotton.

 

He is survived by two brothers, Russell Cotton, and Ralph Cotton; two children, Brandi Cotton, and Tamara Farley; grandchildren Brendan Cottrill, Ethan Cottrill, Bella Cottrill, Taylor Zimmerman, Alicia Cotton, Jessica Pritchett, Desiree Munson, Chris TenBraak, Patrick Farley, Josh Gibbons, Jessica Gibbons, Jacob Carlile, and Ryanna Cotton; step-children Tammy Peck, Shelly Leach, Paula Cotton, and Clay Stowell; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

 

Cremation has been accorded.

 

A Memorial Visitation for both Ronald Dean Cotton and his wife, Doris “Elaine” (Shaw) Cotton, who passed away August 31, 2022, will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of your choice.
