Marsha L. (Clouser) Jones

Marsha Lynn (Clouser) Jones was born July 1, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on January 28, 2022 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 27 days.

She was the daughter of Donald H. and Lois E. (Owen) Clouser.

Marsha lived in Kansas City, Missouri until 1971 when the Clouser family moved to Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She attended school in Pleasant Hill, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1977. After high school, Marsha attended Longview College in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where she obtained her Associates Degree.

On August 28, 1982, Marsha was united in marriage with Thomas Dale Jones at the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church. After their marriage they made their home in Pleasant Hill.

Marsha started working part-time at the Pleasant Hill Bank as a bank teller while still in high school and remained there her entire career, working her way to Loan Officer. She retired in 2011 due to health reasons.

Marsha enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and riding mules with her husband and friends, and her cats. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her parents and dancing.

Most important in Marsha’s life was her family. She loved attending her son’s sporting events and other activities when he was in school. When her grandchildren came along, she loved spending time with them playing and drawing pictures.

Marsha was a member of the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill and, had been a member of ABWA.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lois Clouser; one brother, Doug Clouser and one grandson, Jared Dale Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Jones of the home; one son Andy Jones and wife Annie of Strasburg, Missouri; one sister, Chris Smith and husband Mike of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; three grandchildren, Case, Kimber, and Paisley; one nephew, Brian Prewitt and wife Dawn of Pleasant Hill, other relatives and many, many friends.

Graveside service and interment for Marsha Lynn (Clouser) Jones will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Staley Mound Cemetery, Cass County, Missouri, with Rev. Kent Deubner officiating. Casket Bearers will be Andy Jones, Jeff Jones, Brian Prewitt, Jack Wilmoth, Chad Hays and P.J. Seabolt.

In Memory of Marsha Lynn (Clouser) Jones, the family suggests contributions to the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church and may be mailed directly to P.O. Box 272, Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080, or sent in care of the funeral home.

    Marsha it was wonderful working at pleasant hill bank with you. Afterwards always made my day if ran into you. I know you have no more suffering in heaven. You had such loving ways which will be remembered by all. May the peace of God be with your loved ones

    I loved being around Marsha. She was always so sweet and kind with everyone. She was a very good person, very kind. I am sorry fir your loss. She is with Go’s and isn’t in any pain. RIP Marsha.
