MARK WAYNE RING

Mark Wayne Ring was born June 18, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on March 10, 2024 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 10 days.

He was the son of Frank Preston and Shirley Ann (Ham) Ring.

Mark graduated from Raytown South High School in 1980. After graduation, he attended Arizona State University where he majored in architectural design. After college, Mark returned to the Kansas City area and went to beauty school in Independence. After obtaining his hairdressing license, Mark opened his first beauty shop, Adam and Eve, later he owned and operated Mark of Excellence and Mark & Co., all in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Mark was a well know and much-loved hairdresser in the Lee’s Summit area for over 30 years. Unfortunately, with his health declining, Mark was forced to retire in 2020.

Mark resided several places in Missouri throughout his life time, including Raytown, Centerview, Holden, Lee’s Summit, Pleasant Hill and Bates City, making many good friends everywhere he lived.

In his spare time, Mark enjoyed playing poker and spending time at his lake house. He was a kind, loving and compassionate father, son and brother who loved his family and was always ready to help them in any way he could.

Mark was preceded in death by one son, Zachary Kyle Ring and his father, Frank Preston Ring.

He is survived by his son, Frank Ring and significant other, Kennedy Everett of Bates City, Missouri; his mother, Shirley A. Park of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; brothers, Tim Ring and wife Margaret of Kennewick, Washington, and Paul Ring of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sister, Vickie Ring of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

The family of Mark Wayne Ring will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill.

    Mark’s going to be missed by a lot of people but I’m gonna be at the top of that list. I used to babysit Mark and his brother Paul many years ago and we were family friends even before that. Mark ended up doing my hair for 35+ years!!! RIP Mark!!!

    Wad so sorry to hear about Mark. I was a nurse at MCI HOSPITAL I took care Of Zachary.. He was such a sunshine to care for. I will never forget the song Puff the Magic Dragon that was played when Zach passed. Prayers for the family. Mark enjoyed working as a hair stylish. He will be missed

    Not only was her my beautician he was my friend for about 39 years. It was always fun to go in and find out about the rumors around town. He always had the latest updates. We enjoyed chiefs season and even a few trips to the casino. Will miss our visits. Frank he loved you so much and loved your trips together.
