KATHLEEN LOUISE MORRIS

Kathleen Louise Morris was born September 16, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on July 15, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 30 days.

She was the daughter of Harley Joseph and Catherine Mary (O’Neill) Morris.

Kathleen graduated from St. Agnes Catholic School in Roeland Park, Kansas and then attended college for several years.

Over the years, Kathleen worked as a legal secretary in law firms and as a paralegal for a prosecuting attorney.

She moved to Pleasant Hill to make her home in 1990 and had lived here for the past 33 years.

Kathleen was a kind and caring person who devoted most of her time to helping others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Joseph and Catherine Mary Morris; one son, Theodore Robert “Jay” VanHorn, Jr. and one brother, Harley James Morris.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Beth VanHorn Cearnal and husband Steve; one grandson, Cullen Cearnal, other relatives and many friends.

Per Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
