Helping Families and Friends Honor Loved Ones Since 1959

Jeffrey Pearce

JEFFREY PEARCE

Jeffrey Pearce was born in 1963 to Lanning and Helen Pearce, and was the youngest of the three brothers. Though he was called Jeff throughout his life, he was always Jeffrey to his mother and grandmother.

He was a bright student, played youth football like his big brother Steve (who was always Steven to his mother and grandmother), and developed a deep interest in coin collecting as a teen and young man.

When Jeff was young, a tragic accident which changed the life of his brother Sterling, as well as other stresses, contributed to a decline in his mental health as Jeff grew older. Through all these struggles, Jeff came to embrace faith deeply and was rarely without a bible, which he studied with great devotion.

His mother did her best to help him, but Jeff eventually became a resident of a psychiatric care center where he was known as Brother Lamb, and where he lived for several years until his death in December, 2023.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by brother Sterling, brother Steve and wife Barbara, nephew Matthew, niece Stephanie and her husband Mark, great-niece Ellie, Uncle Larry, Aunts Barb and Joyce, and several cousins. Jeff loved his family and never failed to ask about his niece and nephew during visits.

Jeff was laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery next to his Grandma Kathryn and Grandpa Jack, and his family thanks their friends at Wallace Funeral Home for their compassionate help with his final journey.
