Ismael Marroquin, Jr.

ISMAEL MARROQUIN, JR.

Ismael Marroquin, Jr. was born June 21, 1967 in Victoria County, Texas and departed this life on November 10, 2025 at his home in Gunn City, Missouri at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 20 days.

He was the son of Ismael Marroquin, Sr. and Janie (Navarro) Marroquin.

Ismael spent the first 6 years of his life in Texas before moving with his mother to Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1987.

Ismael was the father of two children, Alexander who was born in 1988 and Amber “Daisey” who was born in 1990.

Ismael became a member of IBEW Local #124 on June 8, 1994 and was still a member at the time of his passing.

On February 29, 2008, Ismael was united in marriage with Sondra Michelle Adams at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Harrisonville, Missouri. They made their home in Gunn City, Missouri.

Ismael was very artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing. He also enjoyed woodworking, camping, watching movies and spending time with his puppies. He even built a special shopping cart for his puppies so he could take them to Walmart to shop.

Ismael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who never hesitated to put his family’s needs ahead of his own.

Ismael was preceded in death by his father, Ismael Marroquin, Sr; his mother, Janie (Navarro) Stevens; his brother, Nickolas Marroquin and, his fur baby, Fiz-gig.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Marroquin of the home; son, Alexander Marroquin of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Amber “Daisey” Zacny and husband Jon of Linwood, Kansas; brothers, Richie Barrett of Blue Springs, Missouri, Patrick Marroquin and Alvin Marroquin both of Kansas City, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, and his fur baby, Bro-dee.

 Cremation has been accorded.

The family of Ismael Marroquin, Jr. will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ismael Marroquin, Jr., are suggested to the American Heart Association or your favorite “no kill” animal shelter or rescue.
