EDWARD JOSEPH “Eddie” LEWIS

Edward Joseph “Eddie” Lewis was born March 2, 1975 in Clinton, Missouri and departed this life on December 29, 2023 at his home in Garden City, Missouri, at the age of 48 years, 9 months and 26 days.

He was the son of Peggy Lee Lewis.

Eddie spent his younger years in Urich, Missouri and attended school at Sherwood Cass R-VIII School in Creighton, Missouri.

On June 28, 2008, Eddie was united in marriage with Stephanie Dawn Claycomb in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. After their marriage they made their home in Garden City.

Eddie was a member of the Laborers Union Local #1290 of Kansas City, Kansas. He also worked for the Kansas City Chiefs as a Captain of Guest Services.

Eddie enjoyed playing pool, golfing and, was an avid NFL fan. But what he loved most in his life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and friends.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Stephanie Dawn Lewis of the home; his mother, Peggy Lee Lewis of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two sons, Kyle Lewis and wife Rhonda of Park Rapids, Minnesota, and Dakota Lewis of Garden City, Missouri; two daughters, Mariah Lewis of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Cheyenne Lewis of Garden City, Missouri; three brothers, Tommy Lewis of Holden, Missouri, J.D. Hinkle and Preston Stackhouse both of Clinton, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. The family of Edward Joseph “Eddie” Lewis will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
