Bobby R. Lees

Bobby R. Lees was born February 24, 1931 in Versailles, Missouri and departed this life on January 19, 2018 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 26 days.

He was the son of Dorsey O. and Edna Violet (Bellamy) Lees.

The Lees family moved from Versailles, Missouri to Pleasant Hill, Missouri in 1937. Bobby attended Pleasant Hill Schools and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1949. In January of 1951, Bobby enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country until November of 1954. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Bobby returned to Pleasant Hill.

On April 1, 1955 Bobby was united in marriage with Patricia Helen Wright in Pleasant Hill and to this union two children, Bobby A. Lees and Patricia Violet Lees were born.

Before his retirement, Bobby had been a painter for R.O. Pittman Painting Company.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Patricia on November 14, 2014; his parents, Dorsey and Edna Lees, and three brothers, Leroy, Edward and Dorsey Lees.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia V. (Lees) Adams and husband Keith of Pleasant Hill; one brother, Richard Lees of Portage, Michigan; granddaughter, Brandy Whitten and husband Brent of Eudora, Kansas, great grandchildren, Kevin and Kayle Whitten, as well as several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded and no services are scheduled at this time.

The family suggests contributions to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 E. 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146. The family would like to express their appreciation to Crossroads Hospice for the loving care and kindness extended to Bobby.
