Helping Families and Friends Honor Loved Ones Since 1959

Austin R. Kee

AUSTIN ROBERT KEE

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Austin Robert Kee, age 40, as a result of a tragic cardiac event, at St. Mary’s Medical Center August 7, 2025.

He was born November 22, 1984, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Robert Eugene Kee and Kathy Lynn Kee currently of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.  Austin and his loving wife Jessi and their two beautiful girls Peyton Shaye (16) and Adalynn Grace (10) lived in Holden, Missouri, on his beloved family farm.

Austin graduated High School in 2003 from Pleasant Hill High School.  He was actively involved in football and was extremely admired and loved by so many there.  He and his parents and brothers moved to Pleasant Hill from Belton in July of 1994.

Austin worked at Radmacher Brothers Excavating Company for nearly 20 years and to him, as Field Operation Specialist, was not just a job, it was a calling of working with a family of people who he loved, and who loved him right back.

After years of sharing laughter, support, and countless memories as friends, Austin and Jessi realized their hearts were meant for one another. On September 28, 2013, surrounded by love, they joined their lives in marriage, beginning a beautiful chapter together as husband and wife.

In 2017, Austin and Jessi and their family embarked on fulfilling a dream of living on a family farm.  Austin’s desire was to live sustainably, to grow their own food, and raise animals (including the surprise sheep). This dream became a reality as Austin worked very hard on his 36 acres every day to make sure that dream lived on.  After work, he loved coming home to pick up his girls in his truck and go check on and feed the cows, and all the farm creatures. After mowing, Austin would come in and ask “Alexa” to turn on 80’s and 90’s country music.

After covid, Austin and Jessi started discussing their desire to raise their girls to know God. So, they began attending Kingsville Baptist Church. Pastor Brandon held a special place in Austin’s heart.  Austin loved church and was an usher on Sunday mornings, something that he really enjoyed doing.

Austin was such a family man, an incredible husband, an amazing dad to his girls, and a beloved son and brother. He would say that his greatest accomplishments were his family, and their farm.

Austin leaves behind his wife Jessica Jewell Kee, daughter Peyton Shaye Kee (16), daughter Adalynn Grace Kee (10), his parents Kathy Lynn Kee and Robert Eugene Kee, brother Adam Ryan (Erica) Kee, brother Aaron Riley (Lindsie) Kee, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, and the many countless friends who call him family.

Funeral Services for Austin will be private, but a “Gathering of Family and Friends” will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Big Iron Town, 29608 East 179th Street in Pleasant Hill, MO starting at 1pm.  Food and refreshments will be provided. Feel free to come and go as applicable.

Many families and friends have voiced their longing to give and help, and so in lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account is being set up for the specific use of the furthering of the education of the daughters of Austin Robert Kee, Peyton and Addie. The link is attached below.

Kathy and Bob… My heavy heart goes out to you for the loss of your son Austin. Also of course to his wife and daughters. I am so sorry for your loss as I know your pain. Austin and my daughter Kristal Huffman (passed in 2002) were friends in
School. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
