Grace “Lynne” (Vinzant) Fields

Grace “Lynne” (Vinzant) Fields was born September 8, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on February 6, 2021 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 29 days.

She was the daughter of Niles R. and Betty (Speer) Vinzant.

Lynne spent her younger years in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1964. On May 22, 1964, she was united in marriage with Don D. Fields in Pleasant Hill. After their marriage, Lynne and Don lived in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri and Lake Winnebago, Missouri. In 1992, they returned to Pleasant Hill to make their home.

Lynne was an office manager for Lafferty and Associates for many years before her retirement.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Niles R. and Betty Vinzant.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don Fields of the home; two sons, David Fields and wife Kim of Savannah, Georgia, and Bob Fields of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; brother, James; half-sister, Laura; one grandson, Dylan Fields who is proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corp; other relatives and many friends.

Per Lynne’s wishes, cremation has been accorded and no services are scheduled.

    Don I was sorry to read in the Pleasant Hill paper of Lynne’s passing. Lynne and I both moved to Pleasant Hill the year we were Freshmen in high school. We were friends through the next four years and I attended your wedding at the old Methodist church on Cedar street. Prayers to you and your family.
