ROGER LEWIS FANN

Roger Lewis Fann was born May 8, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on July 15, 2025 at his home in Greenwood, Missouri, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 7 days.

He was the son of Charles Donald and Cleo Nadine (Fristoe) Fann.

Roger grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1962. After graduation, Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army from June of 1965 until May of 1967. After his honorable discharge from the army, Roger returned to Lee’s Summit.

On May 12, 1969, Roger was united in marriage with Ruth Pearl Phillips in Miami, Oklahoma and to this union two children, Antony and Jacqueline were born.

Roger had worked for Fairway Auto for several years before owning and operating Eastside Service Station. After selling the service station, Roger went to work as a groundkeeper for the Lee’s Summit School District where he worked for 16 years before retiring.

Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfaher. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and supported them in all their life’s endeavors.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cleo Fann and brother, Donald Fann.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fann of the home; son, Antony Fann and wife Dawn of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; daughter, Jacqueline Lowderman of Austin, Texas; brothers, Harold Fann of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Larry Fann and wife Sherry of Chandler, Arizona; sister, Kathy Gobel and husband Ted of Kingsville, Missouri; grandchildren, Steven Lowderman and wife Sara of Kansas City, Missouri, Tanner Fann and wife Brooke of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Madelyn Fann and Josh Snyder of Holden, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Bowen, other relatives and many friends.

Private services for Roger Lewis Fann were held.
