Mary Jane (Hennon) Foulds

MARY JANE (Hennon) FOULDS

Mary Jane (Hennon) Foulds, 80, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on October 25th, 2025 on Hospice after a long battle with Cancer. She was always surrounded by her loving friends and family.

Jane was born November 27th, 1944 in Grandview, Missouri, the daughter of Perry Hennon and Leila “Shorty” Fern (Hopkins) Hennon.

Jane graduated from Grandview High School in the spring of 1962, then went on to UCM (CMSC) in Warrensburg, Missouri, earning her “MRS” Degree in 1963. She was Sigma Phi sweetheart 1963-1964.

Jane married Jerry Wayne Foulds on August 25th, 1963 at Grandview United Methodist Church, 12613 Grandview Rd., Grandview, MO. Jane and Jerry had 2 beautiful children, Jeffrey in 1966 and Joell in 1968. They share the love of their one grandson, Reese Jeffrey Pfeifer. Jane and Jerry did divorce Sept. 24, 1984 but spent their time together as a family with the kids for all the important milestones. The best parents ever!!

Jane taught her kids the importance of hard work. We have always had more than one job at a time as did she. “Mom” being her most important job! She began working at Marion Laboratories in 1981 and worked with the GIRLS until she retired in the early 2000’s. She “loved” it so much she went back part-time to keep herself out of trouble and to make some “mad money”. She soon realized she could work where she shopped to make her mad money go further. In 2005, she started working for Brighton Jewelry and Handbags, Finishing’s for Her, and J-Jill. She loved beautiful things.

Jane especially loved her time with her Kids and her “Girls”. You know who you are, Ladies!! Multiple trips out of state to visit and shop. I think she hit every estate sale there was in the Missouri/Kansas area. I would hear things like… “Sister” was the best friend you could ever ask for! Always had a good laugh together. She was a kind and loving friend. Ms. Terry made sure she was never alone during the roughest of times.

The Hennon family were active members of the Masonic Temple, Eastern Star and Jobs Daughters. Jane was a member and a Past Honored Queen of Bethel 38 in Grandview, Missouri. Her niece and daughter went on to be a Past Honored Queens of the same Bethel many years later.

Remaining to cherish Jane’s memory are “Little Katie”; Son, Jeffrey Wayne Foulds and his partner Amy Baker; Daughter, Amy Joell Foulds-Pfeifer and son-in-law David P. Pfeifer; grandson, Reese “Scooter” Jeffrey Pfeifer; Brother; Gary Joe Hennon and sister-in-law Marilyn Hennon; Sister-in-law, Mary Hennon Shirle; Nephews, Ken Hennon, Doug Hennon; Nieces, Perri Renee Hennon-Laterza, Karen Hennon-Schuler; multiple great nieces and nephews and, Ex-husband, Jerry Foulds and his wife Katie Foulds.

Preceding Jane in death are her father, Perry Hennon; her mother, Leila “Shorty” Hennon; brothers, Perry Dean Hennon (at 11 days old), and Larry Gene Hennon in 1995; and Mason & Marley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church, 28901 NE Colbern Road, Lake Lotawana, Missouri 64086 with Pastor Jeremy Lungren officiating.
