Mary Griesbach

Mary Sharron ( DiStefano) Griesbach was born February 15, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on August 15, 2015 at Vitas Hospice in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 70 years and 6 months.

She was the daughter of Carl James and Mary Belle (Lake) DiStefano.

After Mary was born, the DiStefano family moved to California. Mary attended school in California and remained there until 1968 when she returned to the Kansas City area. On July 21, 1972, Mary was united in marriage with William Henry Griesbach and to this union two sons were born. Mr. Griesbach passed away on July 16, 1992 and Mary continued to make her home in Kansas City until July 23, 2004 when she moved to Pleasant Hill.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and a member of Senior Citizens Club, both of Pleasant Hill.

In addition to her husband, William Henry Griesbach, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Carl James and Mary Belle Di Stefano.

Mary is survived by two sons, James H. Griesbach and wife Karen N. of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Frank W. Griesbach and wife Lucinda of North Kansas City, Missouri; one brother Michael DiStefano of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Jo Daily of Carson, California and Cathy Martin of San Jacinto, California; six grandchildren, Jacob Griesbach, Jude Griesbach, Karen R. Griesbach, Alana Griesbach, Gabriel Griesbach and Michael Mann, III; four great granddaughters, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services for Mary Sharron Griesbach will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Big Creek Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with Dr. Todd MacLean officiating. Casket Bearers will be James Griesbach, Frank Griesbach, Jacob Griesbach, Jude Griesbach, Michael Mann,III, and Darrin Deason.

Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri.
