Heather N. Brown

HEATHER NICHOLE BROWN

Heather Nichole Brown, age 33, was born May 19, 1989 in Blue Springs, Missouri and departed this life on October 18, 2022 at her home in Oak Grove, Missouri.

She was the daughter of Kenneth Dwayne Brown and Kimberlee Dawn (Estes) Shaffer.

Heather spent most of her younger years in Lone Jack, Missouri, graduating from Lone Jack High School in 2007. After graduation she worked several places before accepting a position with OOIDA where she worked as personal representative for several years.

From the time Heather was a little girl, she loved and appreciated nature and being outdoors. Starting as a small child she and her dad, Kenny, would “go exploring” in the great outdoors, searching for arrowheads and other interesting artifacts, this was an activity she truly enjoyed and, continued doing throughout her adult life. Another favorite “father-daughter” activity Heather and Kenny enjoyed was going to concerts together.

Heather loved calling her mother, Kimberlee, at least once every day, to chat about the day’s activities, family news and anything that was of interest to both of them. Sometimes, these conversations were known to become rather lengthy, but they both enjoyed talking and sharing with one another.

Heather was an avid reader who enjoyed books of all genre, but especially science fiction. She was a fan of “Harry Potter” and “Wonder Woman”, and enjoyed not only reading their books but collecting their memorabilia.

Heather was very outgoing and loved any activity where she could interact with family and friends. She especially enjoyed bonfires where all those she loved were in attendance. Heather loved her “Fur Babies”, Theasus and Kratos, and spent many hours spoiling them.

Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William Brown; her maternal grandfather, Richard Estes; her step-father, Phil Shaffer, and one uncle, Daniel Estes.

She is survived by her father, Kenneth Brown and wife Tabatha of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; her mother, Kimberlee Dawn (Estes) Shaffer of Grain Valley, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Brown of Bates City, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Karen Estes of Venice, Florida; one brother, Tanner Gerstner and wife Alexandria of Lone Jack, Missouri; one sister, Mandy Shaffer of Grain Valley, Missouri; nephews and niece, Daniel, Brayden, and Savannah; one great-nephew, Kingston; other relatives and many, many friends.

Graveside Service and Interment for Heather Nichole Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the T. H. Brown Cemetery, 6900 S. Stillhouse Road, Oak Grove, Missouri 64075, with Pastor Steven Thomas Brown, officiating.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be hosted by the family of Heather Nichole Brown, immediately following the graveside service.

Arrangements: Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
