Christopher Allan “Topher” Foley
Christopher Allan “Topher” Foley, 35, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of Osceola, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2025, in Plattsburg, Missouri. Born on May 23, 1990, in Kansas City, Topher brought his infectious laughter and indomitable spirit to each of the many lives he touched, leaving behind memories as vibrant and indelible as his laughter.
The beloved son of Twila Foley and Robert Foley, and cherished brother to Derek and Joshua Foley, Topher is also fondly remembered by his surviving family and the memories of his grandparents: Harry Allan Hoover Sr., Jean Hoover, his Aunt Connie Hoover, and Uncle Harry Allan Hoover Jr., Grandmothers, Linda Foley, and Sedellah Mattox.
His legacy lives on through both family and the countless friends whose hearts were brightened by his kindness.
Despite facing considerable physical challenges, Topher let nothing stop him from embracing every opportunity life had to offer. Topher spent most of his years in Osceola, Missouri, where he became a beloved figure in the community. While in school, with the help from his trusted friend Rich, and teachers Ms. Pam, and Mrs. Edwards, he treasured every joy being in school provides. Parades, music concerts, and his senior trip to Disney World, making memories alongside friends. He was always the first to cheer on his brothers at their track meets and football games. One highlight of his high school years was being honored to call the coin toss at a football game while proudly wearing his brother’s jersey.
Downtown, he was a regular at the square, always stopping for a Dr. Pepper from Ms. Janie before heading to the pool where his brother worked as a lifeguard.
After graduating, Topher moved to Pleasant Hill with his mother to help care for his grandmother and quickly became employed at CASCO in Harrisonville. He especially loved mornings spent over breakfast and strategizing for domino games with his grandma—always eager to perfect their plan for the next match against Derek or Josh.
Topher was passionate about going to the lake and having a beer with his friends, parasailing, skydiving, his loyal dog Oakley, and of course, music and Bubble Shoot. He was as comfortable greeting old friends as he was striking up conversations with strangers, living as an example of unconditional kindness—never seeing differences, only connections.
A member of the Community of Christ Church in Pleasant Hill, Topher’s sense of fairness and inclusion ensured nobody ever felt left out. He lived with a can-do spirit, surviving challenges that would have daunted many, always responding with his trademark, “Oh well,” and an uplifting smile.
The family of Christopher Allan “Tropher” Foley will host a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 p.m. September 4, 2025 at the Community of Christ Church, 7 Highway and Timber Street, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Loved ones and friends are invited to join in remembering Topher and honoring a life so lovingly lived.
Always under the same sky. Donadagohvi.”
