PATRICIA ANN “Patti” (Ballard) ALEXANDER

Patricia Ann “Patti” (Ballard) Alexander, was born August 19, 1959 in Harrisonville, Missouri and departed this life on June 6, 2025 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 18 days.

She was the daughter of Harley Dean and Alice Katherine (Hutchens) Ballard.

Patti was a life-long resident of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1977. After graduation she attended the University of Central Missouri.  Patti worked as a teller at the Pleasant Hill Bank for several years before starting her career in the medical billing field. At the time of her death, she was an Accounts Receivable Specialist with Optum Health Care.

On May 19, 1979, Patti was united in marriage with Richard F. Alexander at the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill and to this union three sons, Preston, Kevin and Josh were born.

Patti was an active member of the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill where, over the years, she served on many committees, belonged to several church groups and, at present, was Chairman of Elders. Patti loved her church and made every effort to live her life in accordance with the teachings and values of the church.

Patti was a Kansas City Royals baseball fanatic, she enjoyed walking 5K’s, vacationing in the mountains with her family, riding horses and gardening.

Patti’s entire life revolved around her family. She always put the needs of her family before her own. Patti loved her boys, but when the grandchildren came along, her life was complete. The more time she could spend with her family, the happier she was.

Patti was preceded in death by her father, Harley Dean Ballard.

She is survived by her husband, Richard F. Alexander of the home; her sons, Preston Alexander of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Kevin Alexander and wife Crystal of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and, Josh Alexander and wife Brittany of Grandview, Missouri; two brothers, Mark Ballard and wife Mary of St. Charles, Missouri and, Ron Ballard of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two sisters, Susan Miles and husband Richard of Warrensburg, Missouri and, Mary Dunn and Kevin Vasalinda of Independence, Missouri; sister-in-law, LeAnne Fuller of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren Fionna, Hunter, Felix, Harley, Annalee and Lilith; other relatives and many, many friends.

Per Patti’s wishes, cremation has been accorded.

The family of Patti Alexander will receive friends at a Memorial Visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be a 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Jaden Moore officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Contribution, In Memory of Patti Alexander, are suggested to the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill and may be left at the funeral home.
