William “Bill” D. Holt

On Saturday, May 30, 2020, William “Bill” Dean Holt, loving husband and father of three daughters passed away at the age of 55 at his home. Bill was born in Boonville, MO to Gene and Norma Holt.

 Bill graduated from Raytown High School in 1982.  On June 9, 1984, he married Eileen Holt (Phillips). They raised three beautiful daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Michelle.

He worked for Sears for over 25 years and was always kind and willing to help those that needed it. Bill had a passion for coaching his daughters in softball and classic cars including restoring a 1957 Chevy Nomad. He was known for his friendliness, kindness, and storytelling.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Gene Holt.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eileen Holt; his mother, Norma Holt; brother, James “Jim” Holt and wife Donica; three daughters, Jennifer Vennart and husband Bill, Rebecca Bliss and husband Kyle, and Michelle Holt; four grandkids, Jackson, Emily, Talan, and Blake, other relatives and many, many friends.

 The visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., both at Abundant Life Baptist Church (414 SW Persels Rd Lee’s Summit, MO 64081). He will be laid to rest in Fayette, MO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wounded Warriors Project.

    I grew up next door to Jim and Bill. We had a lot of fun as kids, always coming up with something creative outside with all of our friends. There really are no words for the loss of your child, Norma, nor the loss of a brother, Jim. Know you are in my thoughts.

    We are so sorry for your loss! Life is just very hard at times! Your Son will be missed ! Me and the. Girls were just talking about him and his car when we visited Noland Rd..
