Vickie L. (Carter) Bush was born December 6, 1948 in Independence, Missouri and departed this life on July 20, 2017, at her home in Pleasant Hill, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the daughter of W.E. Carter, Jr. and Ida Lee (Hartwig) Carter.
Vickie spent her younger years in Wellington, Missouri where she attended school. On July 6, 1966 she was united in marriage with Clifford Bush and to this union one daughter, Cindy was born. After their marriage, Vickie and Clifford moved to Pleasant Hill to make their home.
Vickie worked for many years as a cashier at Casey’s in Pleasant Hill, where her smile and outgoing personality made her a favorite with the customers.
She was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Free Church of Wellington, Missouri. Vickie loved spending time with her family, whether it be hosting family get-togethers at home, or spending time at Pomme de Terre with family and friends, it was what she looked forward to and enjoyed.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, W.E. Carter, Jr.; her mother, Ida Lee Carter and one sister, Rickie Lynn Hough.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Bush of the home; one daughter, Cindy Fox and husband Steven of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Ritchie Carter and wife Sue of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Bruce Carter and wife Paula of Wellington, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Cremation has been accorded and, at Vickie’s request, no services are scheduled. Contributions “In Memory of Vickie Bush” may be made to the family and sent in care of the Wallace Funeral Home, 422 N. Lake Street, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080.
