Rosie D. (Clements) Gentry

Rosie Darlene (Clements) Gentry was born July 19, 1931 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and departed this life on March 13, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 22 days.

She was the daughter of Orville Leonard and Earsie Viola (Moon) Clements.

Rosie was a well-known, lifetime resident of Pleasant Hill, graduating from Pleasant Hill High school in 1949. She worked as a waitress her entire life in almost every restaurant in the Pleasant Hill area and was loved by all that knew her. Rosie never knew a stranger and treated her customers like extended family.

Rosie’s happiest moments in life were ones spent with her own family. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Rosie was also a true and loyal friend to many.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Earsie Clements; one son, Kenny L. Gentry; one daughter, Candy J. Gentry; four brothers, Kenneth Resco, Leonard Clements, James Clements and Joe Clements and three sisters, Orvillene Garrett, Dorothy Wade and Mary Crider.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Neil and wife Sue of Orange, Texas, and David R. Gentry of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; one daughter, Sugar Lugenbeel and husband Mike of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; one sister, Elma Jean Rhoades of North Kansas City, Missouri; sixteen granddaughters, Chasidi, Danielle, Destini, Taylor, Stephanie, Jennifer, Brandi, Kim, Misty, Jaclyn, Carrie, Stormie, Morgan, Kaylee, Emma and Brittani; six grandsons, Chris, Clint, Kenneth, Carl (Bub) Steven, Dakota and Dillion; thirty one Great Grandchildren, Four Great-Great Grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

The family of Rosie Darlene Gentry will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
