Helping Families and Friends Honor Loved Ones Since 1959

Ronald D. “Ronnie” McConville

Ronald Dean “Ronnie” McConville was born October 20, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on January 21, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 1 day.

He was the son of Orville “Ralph” and Dorothy Marie (Scearce) McConville.

Ronnie lived several places throughout his younger years before moving to Pleasant Hill, Missouri where he graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1971.

Ronnie had worked as a commercial parts salesman for AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts and O’Reilly Auto Parts, before declining health forced his retirement.

When his health permitted, Ronnie enjoyed working on cars, building things with his hands, hunting and fishing. He still enjoyed watching wrestling, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals games, and, above all else, NASCAR and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He liked nature and wildlife, and when he lived on the farm with his daughter, Melissa and her husband Clint, he would sit and watch the antics of their farm animals.

The most important thing in Ronnie’s life was his family. One of his favorite pastimes was telling stories of his youth to his grandchildren.

Before his health declined, Ronnie enjoyed attending Echo Church in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy McConville.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Kinne and husband Clint of Holden, Missouri; his son, Duane McConville of Calhoun, Missouri; one brother, Jim McConville and wife Donna of Peculiar, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Friedrich and husband Reimund of Kansas City, Missouri, and Susan Higgins of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Anna McConville and fiancé, Dakota of Kingsville, Missouri, Tamatha Beck and husband James of Warrensburg, Missouri, Colby Nichols and fiancé, Emily of Warrensburg, Missouri and Spencer McConville of Holden, Missouri; daughter and granddaughter- of-the-heart, Sharina Jeffers and Leea Sheets both of Johnson County, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

As Ronnie wished, cremation has been accorded. The family of Ronald Dean McConville will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor J. R. Brown officiating.
