Andy L. Keys

Andy Lee Keys was born November 8, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on July 24, 2020 in Independence, Missouri.

He was the son of Tracy Steele Saunders and Barbara Jean Saunders.

Andy spent most of his life in the Kansas City, Missouri area. He was employed by Neighborhood Renovations, L.L.C. as a carpenter and had recently become a member of the Carpenters Union in Kansas City, Missouri.

Andy was a fantastic self-taught artist, just describe to him what you had in your mind, and he could make it come to life on paper. He also loved fast cars, music of any kind, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Andy was a “Sunday Morning Chef” and loved cooking breakfast for anyone who happened to be at his house.

Andy was very family oriented. Whenever there was a gathering of family and friends he wanted to have pictures taken with everyone and to create lasting memories.

Andy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Rudy Ruddicks and James Keys.

He is survived by son, Rudy Keys; daughter, Myriah (Allison) Keys; dad and mother, Tracy and Barbara Saunders of Sugar Creek, Missouri; father, Richard Roberts of Nevada, MO.; step-mother, Barbara Roberts of Independence, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Barbara Fox and husband Richard of Independence, MO.; paternal Grandparents, Delwin and Nada Saunders of Kansas City, MO. brother, Tyler Saunders of Independence, Mo.; sisters, Heather Waller and husband Logan of Pleasant Hill, MO.; Georgia Schutz and husband Mike of Richmond, MO., and Jessica Saunders of Independence, MO.; and an abundance of other relatives and many, many friends.

The family of Andy Lee Keys will receive friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, MO. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, August 3, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Wendy Minshall officiating. Casket Bearers will be. Tracy Saunders, Richard Roberts, Tyler Saunders, Rudy Keys, William Keys, James Ruddicks, Tyrel Martens, Randy Hanna. Honorary Casket Bearers will be. Eric Flannery, Richard Fox, Logan Waller. Interment will be in the Strasburg Cemetery.

    This really sucks that he was taken so soon… the fact that the newspaper clippings/story’s don’t add up but regardless of foul play on officers behalf there’s nothing me or anyone else can do to bring you back or change the past and tho you’re in a better place I hope whoever was the cause of this horrific accident literally gets over taken by the amount of guilt that you’ve caused so much pain suffering and sorrow to many of my uncle
    Andy’s family and friends … may Karma get it’s vengeance and may Andy be remembered loved and in the hearts of all of us !!! I love you I just wish I coulda have said goodbye or took your place…
