|Owen William “Bill” Negus was born May 26, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on October 21, 2013 at CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri at the age of 42 years, 4 months and 25 days. He was the son of Owen Ward and Irene (Garza) Negus.
Bill spent his younger years in Pleasant Hill and was a 1989 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. After graduation he obtained a technical degree in heating and cooling.
Bill was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses throughout the United States, spending most of his time in Missouri, Florida and Texas. Within the last year, he had returned to the Kansas City area and was a self employed consultant for several roofing companies.
In his leisure time, Bill loved to hunt and fish. One of the greatest joys of his life was spending time with his son, Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Ward Negus.
Bill is survived by his son Tucker Graham of Pleasant Hill; his mother, Irene (Garza) Negus of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, James Negus of Harrisonville, Missouri; two sisters, Sharlynn Jenkins of Shawnee, Kansas and Kimberly Berkley of Independence, Missouri; several loving nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Service for Owen William “Bill” Negus will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill with Elder Butch Shewmaker officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to help with final expenses.
